Each member of the team is passionate about what they do and together, they work to develop and deliver products that help to transform the lives of patients with painful and hard-to-heal wounds.

OUR TEAM

ANDY BOYES

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Andy has enjoyed a successful 32-year career at Smith & Nephew. During his time at the FTSE 100 medical technology business, Andy engaged in developing, manufacturing, marketing and selling medical devices in the Advanced Wound Management and Advanced Surgical Devices sectors. He has held a number of executive level roles across commercial, strategic and innovation functions. Andy is passionate about the wound care sector and helping to improve the lives of patients suffering with debilitating complex wounds and since leaving Smith & Nephew has provided Board level support and strategic direction in the sector.

ANDREW WILDMAN ACA

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience working in and advising start-up and early stage businesses from inception through to exit. Andrew brings experience of managing businesses through the growth phase, determining corporate strategy and development, establishing strong corporate governance and preparing businesses for a successful exit. A Chartered Accountant since 1994, Andrew cut his teeth at Deloitte and Ernst & Young. Andrew has seen first-hand the damage that non-healing wounds does to people and is fanatical about raising the profile of this silent epidemic and improving healing rates.

PAUL MCKENNA

COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

Paul has over 25 years’ experience in wound management sales and marketing. He was previously responsible for leading global and regional marketing teams at Smith & Nephew, the FTSE 100 medical technology business. In the last 10 years he has been focussed on launching new technologies to health care professionals to help reduce complexity of wound care and improve access to more effective products. He maintains a fervent desire to support easier adoption of medical devices by health care practitioners to help them and their patients improve their outcomes.

JESSICA WOOTTEN

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Jessica has over 10 years’ experience as a regulatory professional, with a strong track record of success, overseeing the manufacturing, operations and regulatory compliance areas of the business. Jessica also plays an active role in a number of Supplier Work Groups, hosted by the Association of British HealthTech Industries.

CHRIS CAMPION-SHEEN

NATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Chris brings diverse experience to the team. Having a strong clinical background as a nurse, allied to over 20 years’ experience in industry, the majority of which has been within wound care and compression therapy companies. He has fulfilled roles from Account Management through to National Sales Management and has seen first-hand the unfolding epidemic of hard-to-heal wounds in the UK. He is passionate that every patient with a hard-to-heal wound should have the options of treatment available that can transform their quality of life – the patient has always been at the centre of his daily work and always will be.

Dr Emma Woodmansey

CHAIRMAN

Emma has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years with responsibilities for new product development and novel treatment solutions, global thought leadership, clinical and scientific strategy and evidence building and communication, focusing on infection and antimicrobials, wound bed preparation and advanced wound care pathways helping improve consistency in practice and supporting patients with wounds to regain their lives. Working with global key opinion leaders in wound care, Emma has authored and supported numerous publications and communications, driving leadership in wound management, using scientific and clinical evidence to frame critical issues and shape consensus.
Emma is a highly experienced scientist in the field of Wound Healing and is passionate about advancing new technologies to improve patient lives.

DR LEANNE ATKIN

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Dr Leanne Atkin is a Lecturer Practitioner at the University of Huddersfield, additionally being Vascular Nurse Consultant at Mid Yorks NHS Trust. Her passions include leg ulcer management, quality agenda, peripheral arterial disease and advanced wound management. She has published over 50 articles related to vascular diseases and wound management.

DR JOHN POSNETT

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

As a health economist at PAREXEL Access Consulting, Dr John Posnett provides consultancy support to global pharmaceutical and medical device companies. John has held the roles of Director of the MSc programme in Health Economics and Professor of Applied Health Economics at the University of York while operating as a visiting lecturer and researcher at the Universities of Wyoming, Wisconsin, Lehigh and Sydney. He then moved Smith and Nephew for 10 years' and was global vice president for health economics. John has published widely in the areas of economics and health economics.

DR Amelia Swift

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

Amelia is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing with a long held interest in pain management. She completed her PhD in 2012. During this time she worked as a nurse researcher attached to a chronic pain team and explored the pain of epidermolysis bullosa. Over the past five years' Amelia has split her time between education and research. Amelia is passionate about pain education, research and evidence based practice and is the Chair of the British Pain Society Pain Education Special Interest Group and an Associate Editor of Evidence Based Practice.

Reid Thurlow

Non Executive chairman

Reid, a New Zealand national, has over 25 years' in the Trust & Financial Services industry and works with HNWI clients on all facets of their wealth and estate planning requirements. He sits on the board of various companies with diversified investments and holdings and is himself an investor in private equity opportunities.

Christa Echtle

Non Executive Director

Christa has over 30 years' experience in Healthcare. Until 2003, she was CEO of a LSE listed company. Since then, she has worked as Chair for a number of Healthcare investment companies for a variety of Private Equity houses. She has also acted as NED on the Board of a LSE listed company. Her particular experience encompass specialist healthcare recruitment, childcare and education services, healthcare IT solutions, healthcare products, services and innovations.
