Accel-Heal appoints new Clinical and Scientific Advisor

We are delighted to announce that Dr Emma Woodmansey will be joining us as independent Clinical and Scientific Advisor, with effect from 1stSeptember, taking over from Dr Robin Martin who is retiring.

In this role, Emma will chair our clinical and scientific advisory board and advise on our clinical and medical strategy to both highlight the importance of bioelectricity in wound healing, and to establish microcurrent electrical stimulation therapy as a credible technology in the frontline treatment of painful and non-healing wounds.

Emma has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years with responsibilities for new product development and novel treatment solutions, global thought leadership, clinical and scientific strategy and evidence building and communication, focusing on infection and antimicrobials, wound bed preparation and advanced wound care pathways helping improve consistency in practice and supporting patients with wounds to regain their lives. Working with global key opinion leaders in wound care, Emma has authored and supported numerous publications and communications, driving leadership in wound management, using scientific and clinical evidence to frame critical issues and shape consensus.

Emma is a highly experienced scientist in the field of Wound Healing and is passionate about advancing new technologies to improve patient lives. We are therefore very excited that Emma has joined us in our mission of making Accel-Heal accessible to more health care practitioners and patients around the world.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Dr Robin Martin for his excellent work with us since our inception in 2020. Robin has been instrumental in developing the evidence base for microcurrent electrical stimulation therapy and we wish him well in his retirement.
