We are thrilled to see a new review of electrical stimulation therapy featured in the latest edition of the Journal of Wound Care (JWC).
In the paper “Electrical stimulation for pain reduction in hard-to-heal wound healing” a literature review was carried out to identify its impact on wound treatment.
The paper concludes that pocket-sized electrical stimulation devices such as Accel-Heal “should be considered part of the treatment options to address the challenges of managing and treating painful and hard-to-heal wounds”.
Presently “electrical stimulation is underused” at a time when healthcare services are under immense strain.
